Twisted waveguide is divided into left-handed and right-handed according to the twisting direction. The standard twisting angle is 90 °. Other twisting angles can be customized. Double-ridged waveguide twists provide accurate electrical and mechanical interface. It can realize the different angle rotations of the rectangular waveguide.
Different from conventional waveguide twist, the outstanding advantages of this structure are the ease of manufacture, compact size, and low return loss.
The double ridge twist waveguide is extensively applied in engineering applications, especially for satellite communication.
